PRESENTATION
Historical facts and legends speak highly of pigeons, which were used both as a means of private and official communication. These delightful animals are described in literature as performing private correspondence. In history books, pigeons are used for wars and intelligence correspondence, while for scholars, they become a travelling field where they are subjected to advanced experimental studies. In this work, we will analyse the method of using pigeons in communication.
The communication method of pigeons is a rare fact that has survived from ancient times until the Second World War. The oral and written information to be presented based on the aforementioned statement is of great importance in this regard. Because their position in history starts long before the written history. Therefore, researchers who will enter this field must take into consideration all kinds of information. Although this is the case, this work is not based on rumours, but has been prepared as a result of a correct examination.

Pigeons, which performed important services in the Second World War, gradually left their duties to new inventions and completed their tens of thousands of centuries of service on the stage of history. The aforementioned animals, which are of great importance, have been of exceptional importance even in espionage, as they are a means of secret communication for armies, intelligence and other state institutions and secret communication rather than individuals. And its centuries-long progress has always continued. How pigeon communication, like other sciences, has evolved throughout history will probably be more easily understood if an example is given to today's readers.
Just as today's inventions are developed for certain centres such as the military or intelligence, and from there they are transformed into various tools that can be used by the public, the serious minds of the past centuries have made many advances in the aforementioned communication method. As it will be seen in the book, many different means were experimented with, and after deciding on the pigeon, this means was upgraded and maintained its existence until the 20th century.
If it is necessary to give an example to the above-mentioned advancement, briefly; according to the widespread opinion of the public, according to the latest advancement methods, the messages sent by pigeon are expressed by tying the pigeons to the feet of the pigeons and this message is expressed in the form of a very short message. However, in the last few centuries, pigeon communication has been developed to such an extent that even very voluminous documents containing pages of messages can be placed in a single feather. The transmitted documents have not only been concealed and increased in volume, but have also been developed in such a way that they are protected from other environmental influences that may occur.

In short, it is necessary to write a new, comprehensive thesis on this long journey of pigeons. Because, especially in Turkish, the knowledge and information about this animal is very limited. In the past, many scholars have written many works in this field. Biologists, physiologists, archaeologists, historians, literary scholars and many other specialised scholars have written articles and works on pigeons. From the East to the Middle East, from there to Europe, and from Europe to America, the field of this publication has expanded. While this was the case, following the end of the use of the pigeon vehicle, the studies carried out for the sake of progress came to an end and pigeons became only a historical subject. In the end, it gradually disappeared from the agenda of today's history.

Again, this method of communication, which had been largely abandoned in history after its value diminished with the invention of such means as the telegraph, influenced all states claiming to exist in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71, when France was able to escape from a difficult situation with pigeons against the tight German blockade. After this event, which was a great turning point, pigeons started to be employed even in the navy. Special laws and tombs were made for them and they were even given honourable titles. The process of pigeons, which are praised as a figure of history, not only in literary terms but also as a figure of history, is quite long. This work, which we have humbly translated from old Turkish into present Turkish as a service to Turkish publishing, was published in the times mentioned above. The aforementioned work, which contains a lot of information that is missing today, was written by its author, Mehmed Hayri Bey, largely with the help of Eugène Caustier's Les pigeons voyageurs et leur emploi a la guerre, some articles in French, official naval publications published in the United States, and our old history books that we do not have access to today.
